Even After Everything

“Poets don’t finish poems, they abandon them.” - Patti Smith

I’m excited to share my second collection of poetry Even After Everything: Poems of love and wonder with you. After writing Covered In Gold Confetti, I found that I continued to use poetry to explore my feelings about how grief evolves after the initial shock. Having never been a musician, poet or lyricist, I find myself endlessly fascinated by the flow and rhythm of words and how comforting they can be. I wonder at how sometimes they just feel right. And sometimes they just don’t. This second book is me trying to figure it all out a little more. As before, I found myself writing about how closely intertwined love and grief are. But I also started to write about aging, creativity, wanderlust and what it feels like not to be a mother.

I hope you can find something in my ramblings that resonates with you. I also hope the book may encourage you to write your own poems and to find comfort in your ramblings too.
